00:10 here in DaVinci Resolve because I hate
00:13 to say but my headphones stopped working
00:16 I’ve had these guys for like 20 years
00:18 and my Sony MDR V6 is the one side it
00:23 just stopped working how am I gonna edit
00:25 some audio here in DaVinci resolved
00:28 it’s so sad but being that this is so
00:32 sad and I can’t hear my audio is so good
00:36 there is a bright side to all this I’m
00:38 gonna have to put these guys on the side
00:40 they’ve served me well for 20 years put
00:43 on the side
00:45 and the upside
00:46 is that I was able to go out and
00:48 purchase these guys the parodynamic DT
00:51 770s I’m super excited to get working
00:54 with these things guys actually let’s
00:56 just go ahead and open it up right now
00:58 because I’ve been looking at these guys
01:00 for years they’ve been around a long
01:01 time and those Sony’s were awesome and I
01:04 think these are going to be even better
01:05 so let me just open this up and we’re
01:08 gonna take a quick look to see what
01:10 these guys look like I am super excited
01:12 about these headphones here get to some
01:14 awesome audio editing

01:48 in there these guys look good I got the
01:51 80 ohms version they come in different
01:53 versions uh if you guys aren’t familiar
01:55 with these particular headphones you can
01:57 get them in 250 ohms 80 ohms or 32 and
02:00 I’m using an audio interface here so uh
02:02 I decided to go with the 80 ohms because
02:04 I wasn’t sure if this one could power
02:06 the 250 ohm version
02:08 um but man am I excited because I’ve
02:10 been looking at these forever let me see
02:11 if I can get the cord out of here we’re
02:13 gonna plug them in and I’m just gonna
02:14 give you guys uh the first um reaction
02:17 of me giving these guys a try because
02:19 I’ve Heard lots of great things about
02:21 them over the years
02:22 um and I’m curious to see are they
02:25 really that good I don’t know I mean
02:27 from everything I’ve read like I can’t
02:29 even open the box I can’t even open the
02:31 box what is going on here
02:33 from everything I read They’re they’re
02:34 better than my Sony’s and those things
02:36 were great compared to a lot of other
02:38 headphones I’ve read or heard over the
02:40 years
02:41 so we got a nice long cable here I’m
02:43 just going to leave that guy wrapped up

02:45 right into my audio interface here
02:49 man these are nice looking cool thing
02:51 about these too is you like you can
02:52 replace like the headband you can
02:54 replace Parts on it a lot of a lot of
02:57 things that you can do with it just to
02:58 maintain them to keep them working for a

05:04 they sound like they’ve got more depth
05:05 than uh my old school Sony’s here which
05:08 the Sony’s were awesome but man these
05:09 guys sound like they’ve got some really
05:11 good depth to them and one of the other
05:13 good things I I heard about these is
05:15 that they’ve got a great Sound Stage
05:16 right so we can make the sound sound
05:19 like it’s coming from all around us
05:20 right and the Sony’s did a good job with
05:22 that too I thought if we’re trying to
05:23 like throw sound effects in different
05:25 areas and things like that but these
05:26 guys sound good these guys sound good
05:28 now these are like studio monitor
05:30 headphones right they’re not um
05:32 headphones like you know like a a beats
05:34 or a Bose where you might um you know
05:36 want that bass boosted a little the
05:39 treble boosted a little so that you can
05:41 um you know hear like things accentuated
05:44 a little bit in the music these are like
05:45 monitor headphones reference headphones
05:47 so I can edit the audio here the parts
05:49 crispy crisp Lee and clearly
05:53 um and just really be able to edit audio
05:55 good right so um so they don’t have any
05:58 boosts you know in your low ends and
05:59 your high ends and stuff like that so I
06:01 am super excited to get working with
06:03 these and um man they’re comfortable and
06:06 they sound good if you guys want to know
06:08 more about these headphones I do want to
06:10 actually
06:11 um try putting together a video where I
06:14 get different types of headphones from
06:16 different manufacturers and then we kind
06:18 of talk about what is it like to edit
06:20 with different kinds of headphones and
06:22 then I would edit a small sample and
06:24 just show you what the edit sounds like
06:26 here on YouTube using different
06:27 headphones because what you listen to
06:29 your audio on makes a big difference as
06:31 to what the outcome is going to be right
06:33 because if you have artificially boosted
06:35 bass in your headphones you might drop
06:36 that bass out when you’re editing your
06:38 audio and it may not sound as good as
06:41 you wanted to once you listen on other
06:43 devices right so really important here
06:45 that you you pair your headphones with
06:48 the type of listening that you’re going
06:51 to be doing so if you’re editing audio
06:52 you want some kind of good monitoring
06:54 type of headphones versus if you’re just
06:56 listening to music and you’re listening
06:58 to things maybe you want a different
07:00 kind of headphones that you know boosts
07:03 or whatever different ranges of the
07:04 frequency maybe you want a little more
07:05 bass a little more treble and Clarity uh
07:08 whatever you want so super excited about
